So yesterday, I was searching for the best folk metal album and I stumbled onto this.

As you can probably guess, this was a band I had never heard before. So, I downloaded their discography from the torrent: http://kickass.to/primordial-discography-viper666-320k-t3987649.html
And in the BitTorrent screen where they prompt as to how many files you wanted to download, I checked this. The rest, as they say, is history.
The first song I heard was Empire Falls. As I heard them, I could feel their emotions soak me. Their song just entrapped me. "Every Empire Falls.." just not lyrics you hear everyday ad with such passion sung.
They reminded me of Eluveitie. I wouldn't say that Primordial's To The Nameless Dead beats Eluveitie's Slania, but they sure bring tears to your eyes. While Eluveitie gives you an intense emotion and a heightened sense of energy, Primordial keeps you thinking.
List of songs in this album in decreasing order of my liking:
1. Empire Falls
2. As Rome Burns
3. No Nation On This Earth
4. Gallows Hymn
5. Heathen Tribes
6. The Rising Tide
7. Traitors Gate
8. Failures Burden.
My rating:
8/10.
While I don't suggest you buying their albums right now, you should definitely check out their live performances. You'll understand then, as to exactly what emotions they sing with.
The link beside is to their live performance of the song "Coffin Ships".
